Our mission
To provide high-quality, safe and compassionate healthcare services that improve the health and wellbeing of the community.
We bring specialist expertise, modern diagnostics and compassionate teams together for families across Harar and Eastern Ethiopia.
Hamdi General Hospital was established by Dr Nuredin Ahmed—widely known as Dr Hamdi—and his wife, Hindiya Mohammed.
Dr Nuredin is a senior medical specialist and Consultant General Surgeon. Hindiya holds BSc and MSc qualifications in Anesthesia. Together they founded the hospital around a shared commitment to safe, compassionate and dependable care.
For more than 12 years, the hospital has served patients from across Ethiopia and neighboring countries, including Somalia, Djibouti and Kenya.
